pond fishing (new pond, old pond, never fished pond,) = Wacky Worm.... take a finesse worm and rig it with a 2/0 hook... hook it straight through the middle... let it fall to the bottom, since its weightless it will fall slow... let it stay on the bottom for a while... them pop it up and let it fall again.... This is UNBEATABLE in a pond... no matter the temp.... have fun

I can agree with that completely! It's a great technique, they only thing I would add is to jiggle it slightly poofing up soot, with gets the fishes attention good, after you stop the jiggling, I'll often get a hit. You could also jiggle it on the way down a little!

Great! Just a tip if you all not ready doing this. Add carpeting, it muffles the sound from you foot steps on the boat.

Photo, congratulations to catching your PB and with your new rod too.

Now make sure you let your one friend know that "it wasn't a waste of time." After reading what you had said the other day about his pessimistic comment, I had a feeling that you were gonna catch one. Congratulations!

Nice fish, I wish I'd have caught one that big. I would have settles for aany fish today though. I was planning on fishing yesterday since about 1/2 my pond is thawed, but instead, I got the little 14' aluminum boat on the pond, and broke up a bunch of ice with it. I just came in from fishing for a whilethis morning with no results.

I fished one of my jigs, really slowly. Also I fished a shakey head with a 4" power worm in green pumpkin, also very slowly. I fished with a watermelon candy fluke (which I caught most my ice-out fish on last year), and a silver blakc back jerkbait from BPS. The only thing I haven't tried is the dropshot, I haven't put line on that reel yet.
