Default Fishing Bobber?

I just started making BulletBobbers and am wondering what the apeal might be to Bass Fishermen. My bobber has directional control and could take bait or lures into areas that you can not cast into. It is a mini planer board that reverses direction when given a little tug. It is more for the shore fishermen or small boat fishermen that like to relax and not wear the arm out casting.

A picture is worth a thousand words, or orders in this case. My suggestion to you would be to put a small demostration video on your web site or link to a site where it can be viewed. I have a general idea of what your bobber is supposed to do, but I bet you would see a lot more orders come thru for you if you could manage a demo video. Good Luck

If memory serves me right when I was a kid they made something similar to what you have with the exception that it was HUGE and very cumbersome to use. It was a round flat air filled dish with a little keel so to speak. When pulling it the weight beneath it would determine the distance traveled when pulled. Needless to say it wasnt a success because it was so big. The damn thing was about the size of teacup. You got a much better idea and LOTS smaller so it should be a success.

Plenty of good wintertime smallmouth anglers use them. They're also good for pulling a senko or something like that over submerged grassbeds too.

I see some potential with this "tool". I think it might be possible to "walk the dog" under water if you will, or another application I see, is to get into area's which may not be possible by boat positioning. I also think that maybe a feather'd jig or senko (like mentioned earlier) might give a different look to the bass, or maybe even a small rooster tail might trail well behind it ??? I may have been out in the sun too long, but hey, I'm one of the guys who bought the helicopter and flying lure too....

A lot of people use the float-and-fly method at Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow for smallmouths. I haven't tried it because I'm not from around there. I tried floating a senko over grass beds after seeing it on a fishing show a year or two ago and that works pretty good when the fish are down in there.

it might be a good idea if you were to actually catch a fish in the video. Looks like you have to give it a pretty good tug to get it to change direction.

I have not had time to fish, but once, since I invented it.
There has never been anything like this before and it is no larger then a regular bobber. You can go to one size larger then your normal bobber to get better planing action.
I have about $45,000 into it. Hopefully it was a good investment.
It is more for recreational fishing and catching fish to eat.
It will work on Bass but is not the kind of thing for a Bass Tournament.
The guys would be cracking up if they saw you put a bobber on.
I'll give an appropriate sponsorship if someone would win a tournament with one.
Having a bobber with directional control is better then a bobber without it.
It can take a lure into places others can reach by casting.

They are made in the US at least for now.

People here use river planers boards, it takes your bait in the direction you chose away from the shore your fishing using water current. It also works trolling behind a boat. P N J

PNJ your river planers are not quite the same as what I have invented.
These can change direction on a dime to closely trace the shoreline. You can also make them run from one side of the boat to the other without reeling in. BulletBobbers are for small boats and give you a more direct feel with a fighting fish. They also eccelerate the hook set rather then dampen it.

I give up - what's a sand minow? Is it a minow that highjacks a thread?

I forgot to mention , the rudder can be easily switched, so you can fish either side of the river at any distance up to 100'.Bob, I also didn't mention, we already use a bobber like yours as well but has elongated ends like a pencil bobber. Its already marketed , Local tackle shop bought alot of them over the last 3 years. X- wing is the stamped on it, can't remember where they came from, I will ask the charter guy I know that uses them. P N J
