Default Port Clinton and walleye

Would like to know if any walleye guys fish out of Port Clinton, Ohio? Also what months are best for size? Have a chance for a guided trip. Thanks

i lived close to port clinton and fished lake erie most of my life. the best time for wallies on the lake would be after they are done running up the rivers to spawn. when they come back to the lake all that loving makes them hungery. i would say june-july time. but if you don't have to set the trip in stone i would wait till may and start looking for walleye run reports on port clinton bait shops websites. when they start reporting that numbers of catches are dropping in the rivers that the time to hit the lake.

BigBassin it will be with a charter fishing outfit. I was asked to go along with the owners son (my place of employment). So right now I have no idea about boat size or how far out we will be fishing. All I know so far is that it will be out of Port Clinton. This will be my first time with a charter boat. About 4 of us will be using the boat so I guess it has to be 20ft or so.

oh ok.

I was just wondering since Port Clinton isn't too far from us, but we've only got a 16' Tracker. So the lake has to be REALLY calm for us to go out on our boat.
