Default Baby brush hog color mixing?

The title i know is confusing. But has this happened to anyone with baby brush hogs (i dont know about other soft plastics) that you have two different colors in a slot in your tackle box and the colors change on one. I had a few june bug colored baby brush hogs and a few green pumpkins together. the green pumpkin got some purple sparkles i guess that what you call them like inside it. The green pumpkin also had a purple tinge on it. So i decided to fish it like i always do i flipped a few times in to deep cover and wham a 3 lb bass hits and i got in shore. then after letting it go i moved and fished a little bit away of the first fish then a cat fish nails it. the cat fish was around 6 lbs which was big for the pond i was fishing at. but then i snagged it on a tree and lost it and my friend lost the rest of mine. so now i am making another set and i have them in a slot for 48 hours now and they seem to be coming along by tomorrow morning they should be good. But my real question is has anyone else heard of doing this or has done this with any other soft plastic?

Yup! Happens all the time to me! I've made some awesome looking colors before by doing this too. It seem to work better when they're in heat though... usually take a while too.. 3 or 4 days it seems. Experiment though, you can find some awesome colors that really catch fish better then the original!

I have had it happen quite a few times, especially with any kind of "damp" plastics in a bag. Especially red shad.

Oranges and reds bleed pretty bad if left in contact with other plastics. This is why I keep my plastics in the original bags, so I don't get a bunch of mixed up colors.

It's no surprise that if fish take Color A and Color B that they they'd take a blend of the two. Fish take a wide variety of colors so those that have bled are no exception.
