First tourney
I participated in my first tournament this past weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't catch a single fish. My boater only caught one.
I was feeling pretty down on myself until I got the ramp when I was advised that 8 of the 15 boaters came back empty-handed. I guess I should look at the bright side . . . I didn't get any backlashes and did not hook my partner. |

W2BF- Congrats on your first tourney, man! It doesn't matter about the skunk, the goose egg. Miss'ippi got it right, it'll happen again. But what will also happen is that you'll always be getting better the right way because of all the folks on here who have good advise. You've got a great resource where you can learn about different baits and techniques without dismissing them outright. These guys will set you on the right path and you'll soon show up at weigh-in with a bag full of monster, freakin' pigs. It's tournaments like your first one that separate the wheat from the chaff. You keep plugging away, so to speak, and it will happen. Good luck!
