Default end results of l.p.r.'s -what applies to you?

Based on the two previous posts regarding your opinion of the l.p.r.s (lifetime potential ratings) of each major lure class, you:

1. are less versatile than you think you are and
2. need to get out more often and try new things. (sounds like a horoscope, doesn't it? ;D ) Â* Â*or
3. are comfortable carrying a duffel bag around containing 100 lbs of lures, most of which still are unopened Â*packages Â* or
4. truly gifted and line each up each of your rods, each with a different lure, Â*ready to chose which one will catch a fish the very next moment. (You are an all-knowing GOD and stinking polls are for mortals! )

i am definately a 1.

I have never caught a fish on a spinnerbait before, but i have thrown one 4 times..

I try to get out 3 times a week after work, and saturday mornings are dedicated to fishing.

Z, I wasn't trying to spread anything. The original topic was about versatility and the need to learn new lures or techniques to become a more rounded, SOLID fisherman.

Enough anglers seem to respect the topics I bring to the table and can relate in part. Sorry if you can't, but I don't post for anyone in particular and need not explain that to someone as advanced as yourself. If you have something relevant to say, fine; if not .... finer still.

Well I normally have 5 or 6 rods with different lures, and I am pretty good at catching a token fish or two on a few baits...but for numbers I always seem to go back to the same things. I think I need to concentrate at getting better at other lures. All of the options senkosam listed are somewhat relevant to me.

I find myself as a #3. The only problem is that you didn't have a #0. Thats really me.

1. Will a cane pole work ?
2. When it rains, are there fish in the mudd puddles that are left.
3.What makes a boat float ?
4.How many 5lb bass can you put in the bed of a pickup truck ?
5.How much can you sell a carp for ?

For 30 something years I've wondered these things.
I do catch fish on a regular basis, but then again a blind pig can find an acorn every once in a while.

I let my boat carry all of it, and I bet it weighs a lot more than 100 lbs

Well no way will I ever FEEL this way. I will always feel more comfortable with 1 lure over another, but my goal is to get better at each so I feel c.onfident I can use it when it's called for. I do however have anywhere from 8-10 rods rigged differently that usually goes out with me, and I WILL throw all of them, some better than others
