power
get some purple power or simple green spray it on rub it with a rag wash it off.. now me you see a bottle of "ezzy clean" this stuff one of the girls got me. talk about get it clean NOW!! the stuff is kinda harsh and i use it full strenth it definatly works..

the wax i use is mothers cali gold carnuba wax or pro tech boat wax. carnuba wax is the best stuff to use on gel coats. pro tech is $60 a bottle btw and worth it..

ok on power buffin definatly need the 10" orbital. once you buff the gel coat it will leave it a tad dull looking.. get a micro fiber cloth and do an after buffing wipe down-this is where the shine really comes in..

i have a dirt devil steam cleaner just in case i get something in the boat -like spike it-that purple power wont touch.. there is NOTHING made a steam cleaner wont remove..

zooker, i'm with ya there buddy....each time we take the 50/50 out on the lake we spend about 30 minutes or more wiping it down after she comes out of the water.....then the next day she's given the million dollar treatment of inside and outside cleaning.....and don't feel bad i too have a buffer for her....that stainless steel prop is a water spot horror sometimes....i usually crawl under her and give the hull a good shine as well...i have a great product that i got off the net that really does well on the gelcoat ....so don't feel alone ....we're just about as anal about keeping her looking like the day we got her as you are with yours.....

All them pretty shiney sparkley boats scare the fish away here in VA. We let ours get a little grime on them so's the bass think that it's just another large log floating along with the tide. The fish like to run under the boat when they're hooked up. Makes them easier to net when they come to you instead of away.

Actually my boat is in pretty good shape for a '99. Could be a little cleaner and I could spend more time washing it, waxing it, buffing it, and spending $$$ on cleaning products and worrying about it and all but then I think "why in the &*^%%$ would I want to do that". The fish don't give a &^%* what my boat looks like. So I cover it and charge the batteries and clean it up a little every now and then. It's not like I bought the thing to re-sell it any time soon. I bought it to fish with it and I'll probably have it until it falls apart. Not so it looks purty in my driveway for all the neighbors to drive by and say "hey there's a purty boat".

3d i am the same as you my friend. the wife gets on me a little. says that this is the last boat for quit a few centuries, hahaha, so i better take care of it. i will as soon as things get settled down a bit. probably by the end of summer. we have alot of irons in the fire right now. and gouges? man zook...you should see the one my nephew helped me get. on the 2nd time out at that. always happens just when you buy a "new to you" boat. poor kid, felt so sorry for him. he was just devastated. told him it was okay, things happen. he still looks at it when we go out. i just act like it never happened. he is just a kid. a GOOD kid at that. gonna be a pro bass fisherman one day and gonna support his dad and me he says. i wish that he gets it.
