Talking Red Eyed Shad time

Have been hitting Sandy River Res. in Farmville VA recently...
1/29 results- water temp. 44-46* 3 fish one 6#1oz 2 more 2#ers
Productive presentations- Red Eyed shad and alabama rig fished on windblown points and clay banks


2/7 results 7 bass, big fish of 6#7oz water temp steady 46*


2/8 results
water temp 46-47*
same baits plus red crankbait fished in stained creeks
8 bass 1 pike big fish 3#s

Gotta luv those Strike King Red eyed shad in 3/4 oz this time of year!!!

Sam those are nice cold water fish. I must be stuck in some kind of time warp...It's still Monday 2/6 down here in SC....Looks like you've already managed to catch a few tommorow and wed!!!! Please pm me the powerball #'s for 2/8....Thanks

We go to Sandy River about 8 or 10 times a year, but never this early in the year. You got me tore all to pieces. Peaceful place to fish, I love it there.

That a couple of nice fish.

Sorry guys.. correct dates were Sat 2/4 and Sunday 2/5 .. it was too early in the am prior to JAVA....

Nice fish! I just got out bass fishing for the first time this month yesterday. This weather is insane normally I would be ice fishing this time of year.

Great fish man! I've had good luck with red crankbaits in the spring too!
