I would love to get my hand on two of those!!!
Wish we were able to go down there to the show but its like $20 for one ticket multiplied by 6 plus 4-5hrs of a drive! Have a good friend going on Saturday!! Can't wait to see some of his pix! |

You'd have to be crazy to put one of those on just about any bass boat! It probably wouldn't be so bad if the lakes you fished were as smooth as glass all the time. I've heard of some guys down in Texas that put 300hp engines on their Gambler boats and get speeds of 100mph +. Wonder what the 350 could do for them? Sounds terrifying doesn't it?

i know of a man that put a massive 350 horse drag moter on a 17 foot bass boat. but that moter weighed like 600 pounds.. this moter is 200+ pounds heavier.. remember this is an v-8 moter not a v6. 90% of the 20 foot bass boats have a max power rating of "unlimited horsepower not to exceed 6 cyclinders" zooker

Have you guys heard how many dead presidents it's going to cost?
26,000 and change. Most of the offshore boats aren't even gonna be able to repower as it's too heavy for them, only new boats will be able to use these! Christopher |

And next year or the year after, someone is going to come out with a 400 horse cause when you are getting rigs that big, you are doing it to show off and have the most whatever on the lake, not to catch more fish.

WTL I think when they get this big they are aiming it towards the Big high end center Console King Fishing boats where speed really does matter like in the bass tourneys where you want to fish as long but still make it to weigh-in on time!

That boat show was sick, and so is that motor. Costs a pretty penny though.

For one yes, it's too heavy, a Merc 300XS weighs 505lbs. (300lbs. is a lot of extra weight on the back of a boat)
But more importantly it has a 25" shaft, bass boats need 20" shafts. |

well, they wont be allowed in tournaments like the bass or flw, so it wont be quick to be adopted by fisherman if the pros arent running them.

cant, the cap is like 250 hp, or maybe 300 hp in professional tournaments. it was just raised too, so i dont see it going up to 350 anytime soon.
