Re: football trivia
Jeez, you waited to ask that question while I was gone?
While we are talking about Lombardi and Bryant, how about when Vince was asked how it felt to have the greatest team in the world after winning the NFL championship in 1966? Lombardi said “I don’t know, we haven’t played Alabama yet.†That year, Alabama was undefeated and untied, 2 time National Champion and they ended the season ranked #3 behind Michigan State and Notre Dame who had played to a famous tie game in which Notre Dame had the option of driving for the game winning points with over a minute on the clock, but decided to take an knee and preserve the tie. 1966 was probably one of the worst moments in the history of the AP poll. |

Re: football trivia
I need to get back to Tuscaloosa so I can download the pics off the camera, so tomorow evening I will give the big post with the details. Â*No teasers though, I did ok but if I had caught a 10 pound bass I would have called someone midweek and told them to relay it to yall, but I did do what I consider to be acceptable and I think I can give the grasshopper and others a relevent spin on what I learned. Â*
And the "luck...." quote might be much older.... http://www.quotationspage.com/quote/4576.html |
