Bryce, I'll try to get there on Thursday if at all possible. Need to start lobbying pretty quick. Really looking forward to it. Got 6 months to get the boat ready to show in public.

Sounds like fun. I'll be there in spirit. But if I win the lotto, I'll be coming. Then, I'd bring everyone up here.

Oldest Daughter wedding is May 4th 2013..so this would be May 4th - 13th Mothers Day.. 2012 right?

Dale Hollow Lake... hmmm 10 hrs or 628 miles..would need to bring a boat...

So would my skinny water 16 foot jet boat be brought or my Mako 22 footer be dragged? Would the wheels on the trailer fall off?

Would Dave want to shotgun this trip?

May is a good time to just get away.

What are the tides like?

LMAO - It's always SLACK tide on the Hollow unless they draw water at the dam, then you may notice a slight drop in the water level. I think the Mako would be a better ride - it's a big lake and according to NFE, trolling is the ticket and the mako is probably better set up for that. But the jet would be more economical, both towing and running on the water. It really doesn't matter which boat you bring - just BRING ONE.

Capt. Mike, there isn't a lot of skinny water on Dale. It's a system of flooded deep valleys.

No worries mate..
I have cleared my personal calendar for the date but have a snag in the professional calendar. If the Capitals make the playoffs I will need to stay home. Playoffs are the first three weeks of May. They are 5 and 0 right now and look good for the Stanley Cup.
Think I will take the cup fishing if they win.

Excuses, excuses. I THINK they have televison in Tennessee it may be black & white off rabbitt ears, but I think they have progressed at least that far. Now if we were headed to Wheeler IN ALABAMA - that would be a problem.

I will have to work if they are in the playoffs..

So my final decision will have to wait till April 2012. Meanwhile I will block my personal calendar off for attendence in Tenn..

Man, what you talking about. Watching conan the barbarian in the wheeler cabin was one of the most successful days of that trip.

I almost certainly wont make this new trip. Both money and schedule issues.

I've had both knees replaced, left one 3 years, right one 6 years. Procedures get better every year, but you'll still be looking at 6 - 8 weeks until you feel better, 3 - 4 months untill you feel good. Knee surgery isn't painfull, like any other surgery YOU'RE ASLEEP, it's the waking up after surgery that is the b*tch. I will tell you in all honesty - when you do wake up you'll ask yourself "WTF have I done", but I can also tell you that after the first few days each day gets better. Best thing I can tell you is do the re-hab religiously - it won't be painless, but the therapy after is the most important step in the recovery. The pain you now have every day will be gone, and that's what we all are looking for. Best of luck with your surgery and keep us updated on your progress.
