Default went fishin-finally

6 am i put my lil boat in at 49 launch. i then ran 13 miles to the tailrace hole. after a week of sitting around knowing the lake should have a top water bite. i borrowed a jitter bug from my dad. i started to throw it along the rocks, 3rd cast i hang up a good one. as i am a bit skittish bout further injury to my wrist i used both hands on the hook set.the fish pulled my scale down to 4.2 pounds. i catch another short fish on the jitter bug. not bad seeing i can't cast but 3/4 as far as i use to with out causing pain.. i catch a short crappie on a 4" worm and a 2.3 pounder on the same worm.. as i know of only one guy who aint working this time of morning i was totally stoked from the 4 pounder.. i give the good mr lizard a call while idlin out to open water. he is fishing and not caught anything at this point.. upon reaching open water. i run wot 6 miles to riles creek. i start throwing a baby bushog and a 4" worm. i trade out the bushog for a pnj..i look up from throwin a nother blasted short crappie back a all black trx20 tritoon comes tearin by with 2 guys you never want to see in the same boat..both club members greetings were exchanged -the bearded one complaining about "having to push pole this barge about" the take off and set down 400 yards down stream of me..i catch a 1.5 pounder out of the closest tree on a pnj..some thing i have been working on.as i release this keeper fish my cell phone starts doing the happy dance on my boat's dash. it is a VERY excited mr lizard. who states "i just caught a NEW personal best!! are you happy for me?" i think at this point i started cussing under my breath-not sure if he took my dead silence for aww or not..i think he said 29"by 19.75" -not sure he was breaking up-which to me spells TOAD..after hanging up i run to the lower lake area start throwing my favorite lipless bait a carolina chip repaint of a 1/4oz strike king.. catching a 3.3 pound bass off a cliff face. made about 50 more cast my wrist starts causing pain knowing better to push it i head for the launch.. after i strapped up an was waiting for traffic to clear i called reb's cell phone spoke with his holiness about demanding a name on this forum be changed from lizardsrule to flukesrule...that and trying to figure out just who could actually beat a toad that big on this forum...

at this point i was thrilled with actually catching a fish.even though i was somewhat limited in lenth and ability of my casting..

Might want to save some of those fish for the Tuckertown tournament on 20 May.
Actually, I didn't mean "save" just remember were it was that you put them back ! Granted, you know that they will most likely move.
This time of year they are shallow, but what about the last part of May ?
I know where I'll fish. By the way the guys that you saw weighed in 19 lbs last weekend.

That would be what one might call Physical therapy for the wrist ?Zooker, I see the wrist is healing, but now your going to need glasses. Scratch that idea , it anit the reason I had to get bifocals this winter. It must be the threading of the trailer on the jig hook that makes you get bifocals ? P N J

Great day for you zooker. And no it wasn't a New Persoanl best, and the measurements are wrong, but never the less it was a HAWG! I'm sorry I rained on your day, I know my ears were burnig after I hung up the phone LOL. Hope you keep the healing going on and get back to the porn channels asap. There isn't anything better than the bite on a Jitterbug as far as I'm concerned. HMM, Flukesrule, I like the sound of that.

Well I'm glad lizards is down. If a northerner is gonna catch our bass, I'd rather it be a true outdoorsman than some yank with a spincaster and a nightcrawler catching 15 pounders off a dock.

The offer still stands to take you out to this lake. It's not a numbers lake by any means, if I catch 10 fish in a day I'm very happy. However you have a better cahnce on catching one of the double digit gals here than anywhere else I've fished. My brother caught one right at 10lbs, and lost another one at the boat trying to horse it in that was probably 10lbs also. That was three 10lbers in 2 days we hooked into. He of course was fishng with shiners, and a bobber, but none the less this is my 5th over 10 this year, and I had one that was 9.75. Now granted I fish a lot, but those are as good of odds as you'll get I'm guessing.

zooker,

I've asked for you to come down and teach me all that you know about bassin more than once. Whenever you can get your arse down here we'll fish it.
