Only one item huh? I would say it's BEER, but I know it would be drunk by then. Well at least I know it would if it were in my fridge anyway. hahaha

Sam's Club is great!

Haha! Not Beer, although I did buy a bottle of Famous Dave's Bloody Mary mix a few days ago ; )

Turns out, the 1 item was an understatement. Upon further reflection, still needed a couple ingredients for the ribs and a couple ingredients for the corn bread.

Should be good to go now, although I need another cooler......

Hey Mike, I read a Dale Fishing Report from this past weekend that talked about catching some brown fish on spinnerbaits. I thought you might like reading it.

-------------------------------------------------------
just got back from my camp trip on the hollow. i'm tellin ya boys the bite was on! spinnerbait was the best for me. caught a 4.04 on the jerk bait. 2 spots on swim baits. my brother (tony) caught several on the swim bait(smally chaser). my only color on all my baits were chartreuse and white mix. my spinner had a gold willow leaf and silver Indiana blade 3/8 oz. my man tiny (6'10 425) had the biggest of all 11 of us at 4.06. there were several over 3. all my fish and my brothers came off the flats. we were camping on kemper flats B. tiny also had a 4.01. had an excellent time can't wait to get back down. it'll be soon. your friend in the outdoors, jawmiester

It's actually looking like it's going to be in the 80's the entire time. No cold fronts for us, gentlemen!

Hey fellas, check out this response to a question that was asked about what the smallies should be bitting on this week on Dale. The response if from a very reliable source.

Here is the copy and paste.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Headed down wednesday night. Are we too late, or will the jerkbait bite be on for us?

Here is another report by Smally7.

I have been having very good luck on both. I have primarily switched to the swimbait now though. Water is warming up nicely and the fish are hungry and hitting hard. Some fish will spawn with this new moon, and some will wait till the full in May. It will be a mixed bag in my opinion as far as the smallmouth. The largemouth are doing the duty now. Yes, the cold front slowed them down a little but they still fed real well. They just backed off some. Where I was catching them is 6 to 8 feet of water, they were in 15 to 20. Same areas, same places. But we still caught some fish. With the warmer weekend the bite has really picked up. Typical spring areas are producing.
Good luck and stay safe.

I would throw that garmin in the trash, after it had you routed south on US31 through the entire state of Indiana and most of Kentucky.

LOL funny thing is, I used my phone as well as the Garmin on the way back.
They both had me going the same way.

The 2 major problems with the garmin were:
1- It would tell me to go, say, 10 miles and turn on a certain road. 2 mils later it's recalculating and wants me to take another road.
Coming in, did anybody hang a left right there at the White Castle? (Leaving, I took a right at that spot). Coming in, it took me a couple miles past that, had me take a left at a blinking light just past a bridge....and it put me back on a major road!

2-I'm loking at the screen, and apparently I'm driving through fields, cuz my car symbol is an inch away from the road I'm on!

Over 12 hours to get there and exactly 10 1/2 to get back.

Fishing was extremely rough. I caught a lil smallie and my first spot ever. Other than that....butkus.

But.....the weather was incredible, the lake is beautiful, and I got to hang with some really great people ; )

On a side note, stay away from 1 Stop BBQ. Nastynastynasty!
