Talking First fish on a jig! And a few others....

Went fishing yesterday and caught my fist fish on a jig! Just a little dink, but still the first! I tried using it like a swim jig, but got nothing, than i stated pitching it to reachable pockets in the hydrila, and than he hit it! It was sunny with a few clouds, and bunch in the distance. The pic...

Than it got to getting overcast, so I thought it could try to get a top water bite, and that worked out well! I used a Rapala Jointed floating minnow, a great injured bait fish imitation imo!

This little porker (see belly)

And this little devil hit right next to a hyrilla mat and dove in, it came up with 20lb of salad......... Was any ones guess how big it was!

Here's this biggest one (16-18").... made a huge wake from under a mat to come and get it, made me think it was a lot bigger than it really was! She also jumped over a weed mat and got 4 feet of air easy! That was really cool to watch!

another view....

So that make 72 bass this year, plus one I caught with my friend later that day makes 73!

~Good luck, and good fishin!

Hey dude, nice fish. I've had open water for a months and I've still got Cabin Fever... It'll do me good to work on the boat today.

Nice fish bassboss! I too am not an experienced jig fisher, but did watch kevins videos. I love fishing soft plastics on T-rig, but have never caught a fish on a jig.....did it hit on the initial descent or were u working it in the cover?
