Default Bass fishing in thick grass

I hope someone could help me with a problem I have fishing my local lake. The lake is relatively shallow ( 3 - 6 ft.), and filled with stumps and heavy grass cover. I spend most of the time pulling grass off my line. I generally use rubber worms bouncing off the bottom , and white spinnerbaits. I would think this would be a pretty good spot, but have had minimal results. Any suggestions for fishing this type of water ( lure, live bait, presentation, etc.). Thanks again.
