I would have rather have a heavier reel if it had some distinction in performance over a lighter reel.
My Johnny Morris Signature is a heavy reel, and doesn't have anything special to separate it from other, lighter reels. Especially now that Pflueger has incorporated the dual brakes into more reels, and Abu has picked up on the them. Keith, you make a good point about switching emphasis from weight to feature. Look at the 50th anniv. Zillion. It's not the lightest reel on the market, but it IS the fastest. BB
