Default Christmas tree barge

I lease a 50 acre lake and the owner gave me permission to stick a motor on the floating dock to make placing brushpiles easier this year. Pretty slick huh? You should see this thing underway! Top speed 3..pushes water like a tsunami...especially loaded with christmas trees and cinderblocks..hilarious but effective I am going to try and shoot some video next time!...notice the steering wheel..sweet

First week of Jan. is when the magic happens. Last year we planted over 100 6' trees...3 or 4 at a time. Back breaking time consuming work, but pays off big. This lake was dug in 99 with an average depth over 15', completely devoid of cover-weeds-shallows. Never been fished until I found it 2 years ago. An absolute honey-hole.

It's kind of like trying to steer a dead fat women. Similar to taking a Monster truck around Talledega at top speed. If you've ever drawn the short stick and had to sit in the bed of a truck while holding a king sized mattress during your buddys move, (in a hard cross wind) you'd be close.

3 of us went together & bought a 150' X 8' floating dock from a marina on a backwater creek off the Ohio River. To relocate the dock the pusher was a 24' pontoon boat. On the opposite end 150' away we had 2 jet skies tied on pulling. A 3rd jet ski was used to push L or R on the sides to turn the dock. It was quite an operation but we made it work. Once floated back to our homes, we dismantled the dock in 3 sections.

After a fire last year all grilling on the dock and "barge" was suspended until further notice........
