So, are we in agreement to go ahead with JB's idea of the 5 fish limit using the calculator to determine total weight?.....I like that idea better, personallly, than the one big fish b/c I think Florida would eliminate every other state.

Also, of coarse pictures are still required with, like jb said, nose on the end and tail not sqweezed together...

And the dates officially are?

Thanks
Brian

I am good to go.

How many will hit a pond and how many will hit a big lake?
Your chances are better in a pond, however a bigger fish could come out of a lake, like everyone knows, the pond catch is easier to acquire, but on the other hand they get more pressure.
I'll post my pics in a small size jpg if I am lucky enough to get any...lol
Hey half the fun is the mental preparation and the night before

hey just a suggestion but i think that kevin should make a sticky of the official rules and the starting time on one of the boards that way it would be easy to find out anything you wanna know then when we were posting our scores we could do it on the sticky instead of making a new post just my opinion

Hey brian sounds great to me.

Denny and me are probably going to a big lake Sunday and try our luck in the tourney.
We usually catch about 2 or 3 apiece, but they are chunks .
I'll get some pics and let ya know!
good luck to all!!!!!
I'd like to hear from all posters that participate and hear what pattern they used, depth of water , air and water temps if possible,
and what baits worked for them , listed with each fish, and also times when caught.
Also and problems can be noted, maybe we all can help those that had difficultly
so they won't get discouraged..we all have had bad days on the water while others slay the fish, ya have to get used to it and learn.

Rob, I dont think we are dividing it up into 2 divisions....Just one big tournament.....Due to the fact that you can probably get a greater quantity in a pond, but larger size in a lake

On Sunday, I will start a thread for the pictures of fish caught. Let's try and leave that for the pictures only. That way, it doesn't get too jumbled up with other posts.

Here is a sample of what i think the best way to do the posting of pictures would be

FISH 1

PIC SHOWING LENGTH

PIC SHOWING GIRTH

CALC WEIGHT

and so on and so on for the remaining fish with a total wieght at the end. Good Luck guys!!!! I look forward to it!!!!

Here is the link that Reb gave for that Calculating device again.

That tape needs to be right on the bottom lip for an accurate length measurement

also, Are we going to allow change of pond, or lake, lets say for example I hit the lake and get skunked and then have hours left , and go to the pond..
I think we should limit it to one body of water for each angler.
streams , rivers , ponds , resevoirs, lakes are all fair game.
What do the rest of you think?
I can see for example if you show up at a pond and everyone and there brother is fishing it that day, before you wet a line, you may be allowed to change to another pond, but if you start at one place, that is where you should finish and report back.
I know, its going to be on the honor system..

I'm not exactly sure where you measure a fish at its girth. I'm guessing you measure it right behind the dorsal fin?

Lockjaw, measure where the fish from the center of the doesal fin to the center of the dorsal fin-where the fish is the widest.

Um, yeah. You know, it would be cool if I could just go down to Florida and catch a 26 inch bass.

But you know, I really can't.

I like the idea of having different regions.
