are you asking what trailer to use? or what rod reel combo? to be quite honest, im having unreal luck with my "Aunt ZIppy" as a trailer to my jigs... cut the skirt back to just behind the hook, and put on one of these... dynamite for me.

geez, there's so many options to choose, and most work well, plastics or pork , the manufacturers all have nice chunk trailors and craw..
Mine used to be a black/blue jig, with a black/blue powercraw 3 inch, but now adays I tend to use tube jigs

Do you mean that you use tube jigs instead of jig/trailer combo? Or use the tube jig as the tailer? Just curious.

You have to have many different size weighted jigs and, or many different size trailers. Those 2 things will get the correct rate of fall the fish are wanting for the day.I suppose if I had to choose one trailer , it would be a Zoom super chunk Jr used with 3/8,1/2, 3/4, 1 oz.weighted jigs.color woud be black for the best all around colored trailer.
