Default If have to ask you can not afford it..

As a surf fisherman I am so astounded at the price of some of the spinning reels posted below.. but they are pretty.

And the cheapest of the high end reels is the Shimano Stella.

Check them out..

I actually saw Jose of "Spanish Fly" fame using a reel that looked just like that Stella today...but didn't know what kind it was. I guess now I know. Lucky guy gets all of that stuff for free.

I have no desire to ever spend that much on a reel. You could get 2 or 3 decent rigs for as much as one of those and a stick to go with them.

Top one is a Zeebaas it starts and sells for 1400.00 plus options.
Next is the Van Stall for 800 to 900
The silver one is a Accurate for about 800 to 900 also
And cheap Stella is only 695 to 895 depending on model..

Two are made in Asia and two are made in the USA.

I like the options on the Zeebaas but they are now made in China..

Hey Muddy is Hazelton PA where the Penn Plant used to be?

I did some work for them many years ago and it was nice to meet some reel nice people.

I also did some work for a rendering plant just down the road also.

That area has lost so many jobs in last 10 years with outsourcing and all.

Earthlink, IBM, Xerox, Penn and about four trucking companys have left that area.

Hope you are gainfully employed...
