Default new way of welding

just thought i would tell every one there is a new way of welding aluminium anyone can do there self at home with a propane torch it is called the ideal rod and it is pretty good

Can't find it on the internet do you have a link?

I thought I heard that there was a liquid weld product has anyone heard of used?

Yes I have used it, and it works great for smaller stuff. The color will be different form the parts you are fixing though,slightly off anyways. I don't think I would feel comfortable with it on anything major, but small holes, and cracks, where there itsn't much stress I will use it. Plus after you are done, if you want it pretty, you will need to grind it down.

Definately DO NOT use this product and think that it will hold up under stress. It is designed for patching small holes and leaking rivets. PERIOD.

yep laser is right if you want to fix it right find some one with a tig welder unit. it will weld aluminum i know my pop has one works..

i have talked to people about it and there is load specs and i think it is possable of holding 700 lbs and my boat is only 150

i am only using it to seal the leaks in my small boat
