Re: What to do?
Well I'd think that cause its so cold that they'd be in deeoer water relating to dropoffs more than anything else. With the water pretty cold, I might go with a silent running shad rap. It would be good cause you can fish it along the dropoffs and the narrow wobble is good for cold water. If the fish are directly on the bottom, a PNJ would work really well.

Re: What to do?
A jerkbait around bluff walls and rip rap areas with deep water real close by. Long pauses in between jerks.

Re: What to do?
Watermelon/red speedworm body with the tail cut off, rigged texposed with a weightless 2/0 hook....cast, let sink, wait 30 seconds and then begin working it in by crawling it on bottom like everyone is saying.....very slowly. You may also want to try PnJ's suggestion from last year.....using a grub on a leadhead worked very slowly on bottom as well.

Re: What to do?
back to basics, I've had great bites on in-line spinners justafter ice out, I don't know why but they work well.

Re: What to do?
Maybe a drop-shot with a small work moved ever so slightly along the drop-offs. Or possibly a dead-stick presentation of some sort.

Re: What to do?
a slider worm rig drag it along deep rip rap. a holographic jigging spoon .jigged vertically near bridge abutments. a rat trap burnt along bottom.in currant areas.
think slow, be slow. normally i chunk a crappie minnow under a cork, then work on trying for a bass. zooker
