He is the biggest catfish in my life too, the truth, I am still young. Pulled out it 30 minutes - up to the coast, then four persons lifted it upwards on coast of the river - on height of 2 meters. It has borrowed all luggage carrier of a jeep! And what you catch? And where?

Nah, minor, nothing wrong with keeping a trophy. Â*I've got a big trout and a big bass on my wall. Â*Granted, those are the only ones I have kept in a loooong time and I will not keep any more, but I don't have a problem with keeping a trophy if somebody wants to.

Stepan, welcome to the forum!

To answer your question I fish strictly for largemouth bass and I live in south central Texas.

I've seen pictures of some of the sturgeon they catch in Russia-some of those fish are big enough to put a saddle on.

Yeah Reb, They have some monsters over there. Unfortunately the poachers over there have really depleted what was once a flourishing industry. The price of beluga caviar has probably quadrupled (maybe even more than that) in the last 10 years. That's not due to inflation either.

Hula,

your right about the sturgeon in the Columbia. I grew up on that river and have caught a number of them. Biggest was 54" but they get well over 10 ft in length.
