Default Weekly Lake Fork Fishing Report from Jim Reaneau

Well, sorry I didn’t get this out on Thursday morning. But here it is anyway. The fish are schooling almost anywhere you go. They will hit almost any thing. The size is small and smaller. There are a few good weigh fish mixed in at some of the stops. But many little fish. I hope the McDonald tournament will produce a lot of over fish. The lake is fine and the little fish prove we had a good spawn. So don’t cuss when you catch one just be gentle and release him. The coming front should help with the cloud cover. Main lake points with grass has been very productive. Look for deep water close to shallow and work some big crank baits and carolina rigs.
The back of creeks has been productive on small schooling fish. This is a good area to take your son or daughter and get them hooked on fishing.
The lake is about 16 inches low the water is 83 degrees.
Good luck if you are fishing the tournament and keep the kill switch and life jacket on.
