Default Who is ready for some baseball?

Pitchers and catchers are reporting to spring training this week! Only a couple more weeks until exhibition games begin!

Opening day is April 3rd

Who here likes the MLB? (I guess if anyone is a diehard college baseball fan they can chat here too) Which teams are you rooting for?

This is obvious for me: BOSTON! ;D

[move]I HATE BASEBALL[/move]

Here is why.......The amount of time it takes you to read this is the amt. of time it takes for the pitcher to throw one pitch

Randy Johnson on the mound.

He has a 39.6 ERA over the last 4.

And the windup......oh wait he backs off the mound.....Barry Bonds is really in Johnson's head.

And now the manager is wanting a conference. The manager says
"So Randy you wanna stay in the game?"

Randy: Yea

Manager: Well, ok.....hey you know any good resaurants in this area? I am thinking about going somewhere nice after the game"

Randy: Nope

Manager: Ok, thanks anyway.

Announcer: And Randy finally throws a slider.....low and away.

:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

I don't usually watch every inning and every game.

However, I do watch some and I do keep track of my team(s)

And football doesn't have delays? Yikes, about 30 seconds in between each play... oh, gained 1 yard on the play.

Watching baseball is about as much fun as watching paint peel! (and just about as fast)

All the pro sports are getting to be the same for me. I almost never missed a Pacers game until a couple of years ago. All these over paid prima donnas who think the world owes them because they're athletes! They play games for a living for crying out loud! It is so expensive for a family to attend some of these sporting events becuase the salaries are so stinking high!

However, I do enjoy taking the kids to Indy to watch a minor league baseball game. Indy has a beautiful ballpark that overlooks the downtown skyline. If ever you're in town during the season, check it out!

i have to agree with geek here . no man, woman, or beast. is worth more than 6 million a year . no matter how good or great they are. ok they are on tv.. big deal.. last pro game i went the seats were 45 bucks each about have way up the lower level-foot ball game. basicly the only reason the nhl is on strike is there pay is the lowest of all pro sports they average 1 milion a year.were base ball has players hauling in over 30 million a year. for what to wander around in a field trying to look pretty while waiting for a another over paid *** to hit a dam ball to them. screw that... for my money i would rather watch minor league ball. those guys are not out to make a ton of money they are out there playing for the love of the game. which is one of the reason's i like collage foot ball.

dam soap box broke next!!!

ya i dont see how baseball players are the highest paid players in all sports. give me a break they dont even have contact. all they do is hit a ball and run 90feet to the next base. heck for 30million a year give me a bat and watch me hit a few grounders and runover the pitcher just to spice things up seriously

Ya know what is a real fun sport to play and watch? Lacrosse, its fast-paced with a lot of hitting and plenty of goals. I did it last year. Only problem was it took too much time and money away that I could have put into fishing. So I'm not doing it this year. Plus I'm way too busy with some other school stuff. :P

Got to agree w/ creek and zook here. Over payed, steroid loaded, (sorry performance enhancing drugs), cry baby, prima donnas. Most pro sports are BS these days because of the athletes in them. Minor league and college-They are good and still play because they want to. 8)

Well Lone, they are talking about every sport EXCEPT baseball, that oughta tell you something. I played in High School, and then I was a junkie softballer 7 nights a week. But to be honest, I completely lost any faith or desire to watch a baseball game since the stinking strikes. I say they can keep their jobs, and money, and find some other sucker to get fired up over multimillionaire cry babies. Go get a real job and shut up. As you can see I wasn't going to post on this, because it gets my dander up, talking about it. Never again will I pay to see a Major League Baseball game, some of the local, and minor league, yes, because they are working their butts off, just to be playing. OK I'm done.
