Default Fluoro

Is Sunline Fluoro the way to go?

If so, Sunline offers several colors . . . is it true that the only color fluorocarbon worth using is the clear/white?

Im no expert with line , or anything for that matter. I am going to try sunline this year. I am going with the invisible , I believe that sun can travel down the flouro and make it glow. I work with fiberoptics some and I see how that stuff looks without the insulation.

i have never used sunline, i am a seaguar guy myself. however i was at a boat show this past weekend where tommy biffle gave a seminar. he talked mostly about flipping and pitching but did talk quite a bit about his sunline flourocarbon. he had a flipping stick with him that had 30# sunline that he had custom made for him for a trip to falcon. he said the line had been on that reel for about 2 months and hadn't been used much at all and let me tell you that stuff was a limp as 4# mono. if i ever stray from seaguar it will probably be to sunline.

At $.27 per yard it better be some good stuff. Good luck with it. I'll keep using XPS fluoro to slay the bass! It's only about $.08 per yard.

I've hard a hard time deciding which fluoro to go with as well. Do I save a bit longer and get a more expensive one, or go with a cheaper one? Will the expensive one perform better? After reading an article on fluorocarbon line a Tackle Tour, It helped me a lot. I am going to go with either BPS or Seaguar InvisX.

I absolutely love the BPS fluoro. It is pretty limp out of the box but a few sprays of KVD line conditioner makes it floppier than my dogs ears. Great stuff!

Another line that faired well in that test overall, that is relatively cheap, is the Triple Fish. I have some but haven't put it to the test yet. I will be soon though!

BPS fluoro is one of the best, it´s identical to Toray Super Hard but without the hefty price.

yeah sunline isn't cheap. i tried the bps stuff and wasn't happy with it at all. it was much stiffer and had a lot more memory than seaguar and i used kvd line and lure conditioner on it. that was when i found seaguar and so far haven't had any reason to try anything else.

Seaguar InvizX hands down.

5 of 7-9 lbers landed on 6 lb test last year. Gonna try those for baitcaster or maybe AbrazX.
