In the days before Senkos, I would throw Culprits in Shad Green. I don't think they make that color anymore.

Culprits are good worms. Tequila sunrise and crawdad are my favorites.

My favorites are culprits, power worms, and recently added: gulp turtle backs.
I've had good luck on watermelon candy, junebug, and green pumpkin colors. BB

i am not to far from you mr photographer i am in between hartsville and darlington. i am getting ready right now to go set up my rods to go tommorow to a private pond with a friend and i hope we tear them up. aside from worms if any of you guys havent tried the new swim shad lures from storm i would highly recomend you pick some up . they look very realistic in the water and i have caught five or six bass and that was just the first time using them.

One thing we used to do with the black shad Culprits....
We'd Texas rig them "upside down" so the black back of the worm was facing down and the silver underside was facing up. We used a light weight bullet sinker pegged to the worm. We thought that this would be a good way to increase the visibility of the worm to the fish....the lighter side upside catching the light coming from above and the blackside making a more dramatic contrast for the fish looking up to the worm against the surface light. It seemed to work well and we almost always did well catching fish. Later on we started using wide gap hooks and used a splitshot clamped underneath the worm on the hook belly. This kept the worm even oriented better.
