$20 for a bait is absurd, for $20 it better say "Here fishy fishy fishy" whenever I cast it.

I love rapala lures. I swear by them as the best hard baits. They swim true unlike most hard baits. Their mose isn't pointed down during retrieve. Always in a straight line swimming like a bait fish should. So many variaties to choose from and you know before you buy it it's worth the whole five dollars you spend. Can't go wrong with Rapala. Org Floating Minnow and Jointed Minnow are two of my FAVORITE.

Probably the best plug I've used is a balsa AC Shiner jerkbait that has a very good action. I'm gonna have to order some more before the fall. I tend to think that there is not one brand that makes the best of everything, but rather several good lures made by different brands.

Topwaters: Rebel Pop-Rs, Smithwick Devils horses, Luhr Jensen Nip I Didees, Lucky Craft Sammy

Jerkbaits: AC Shiner, Smithwick Rogues, Original Rapala

Crankbaits: Rapala Shad Rap, Manns 1-Minus, Pradco Fat Free Shad, Bill Lewis Ratltrap

I don't think there is such a think as the "best". One day you could catch them on a pointer and the next only get bit on a 5a bomber. Endless answers. Endless questions.

bassenforcer is right-even if i do know him-i do use a pointer here and there. but i rather beat a fat free fry or a #5 shad rap then a pointer at times. although many a hard core rapala fans are not buying the glass series. i have a couple but don't like them as well as the original balsa shad rap.

Why don't you give zooker some help with a PNJ. You obviously have had a lot of success with them from your previous posts, and he isn't having much luck with them. Of course if that's not giving away too many of you 00000 secrets.

I have always noted that people new to jig fishing are reluctant to throw in the heaviest of cover, afraid of getting hung or just intimidated...and I think thats why people that have success with the pig n jig are good at target fishing,, they have figured out that the bass is under all that trash and are willing to wench her outa thar :

Not a problem, just bring whatever you want to throw. Otherwise you could watch me and see if I know what to throw. (that could and may be somewhat questionable)
