30 years? That works out to be right around 1/8 of your life...

36 years (took time off between 18 and 22), put's it at 408. Unless were only counting serious bass fishing which would be 26 years, puting us at 398.

Edit; if we are counting all fishing, as IB just stated, I started probably 20 years ago...so add 8 to the total.

Been fishing since I was around 3 but I won't count those. I'm 18 and i've been Bass fishing for 10 years. So 436+10=446

I will start to collect my old age pension this year and have picture of myself fishing before I was 5 years old.
But if we discount the time before I was say 15, that leave 50 years...
496+50= 546

I think we "lost" 20 years during these updates:

382 + 36 (Basstech) = 418
418 + 8 (WTL) = 426
426 + 30 (Bassboss' dad) = 456

Yet we were working from 436 at this point.

Maybe it was BB's closing statement -- "With each post, the pressure builds to see who screws up their math first!" -- that put the whammy on things!?!

IB, I'll let you update the "official" total if you like since this is your thread.

Ok, fixing IB's Typo, he likes 408 more.

Plus WTL's extra 8 gives us 416.

And there's the other 10 years you accounted for. That should've been 408. So actually, we're short 10 years.

Final Total:

From AUFred's 770 + the 10 we lost along the way=

780

Except that IB liked 408 more when he was given the choice between 398 and 408, which were both short 10 years from Basstech's entry. The wording of IB's entry said he'd include "all kinds of fishing", so I think he would have said let's use 418 at that point had he been given the correct choices. Agree?

Yes I do.

I glanced from my post to basstech's and thought it was correct. It should have been, like you said, a choice between 408 and 418, and IB liked 418 best.

Man, who knew I'd effect it that quickly with my comment, lol. Maybe I'll just keep my mouth shut next time.
