Default Is it too soon?

Guys, 2010 has been a really unpleasant year, both on and off the lake.

However, I remember how happy I was this time last year, because we were already talking about a member event.

Do we want to tentatively discuss a 2011 event? Personally, I would love something like that to look forward to, as I still have met and fished with far too few of you. Our time on this Earth is just too short to not go fishing with friends.

Shall we officially get the discussion going?

Not at all bryce, I'm hoping for something a bit closer than KY Lake though. Under 10 hrs would be nice.

Never too soon, Bryce. I started thinking about it as soon as the Dale Hollow thing fell through. I'm in next year, if at all possible. If John wants to host it in Alabama, that's fine, or anywhere else within a long day's drive is cool, too.
Let's throw some stuff against the wall and see what sticks. As far as when, April or May would be my first thought.

GUNTERSVILLE? I be making my first trip there next March. Looking forward to that week. Will be contacting you 'bama as I get closer to the trip, possibly you can give me some info what may be working then. Looking forward to fishing there - I'm hoping to get one over 7 pounds.

Wow...from what I've seen/heard about Guntersville, it would be a real challenge for me, as I do not get a lot of practice fishing heavy weeds, flipping, or pitching. We just don't have a lot of that kind of cover where I fish.

John, I totally forgot you wanting to host. I think that would be great, and I will assist you in any way I can. Please don't hesitate to ask.

But you've always wanted to learn, right? There's a good reason, right there...

I'd be up for another Guntersville get together. Since it's only about an hour from our relatives, I'd say it only requires an hour of travel (keeping it under my 10hr max) since the 10 and half hour drive to Alabama is to our relatives, not to the lake.

Bryce, fishing the gator vine down there is definitely challenging. But it is fun, and so much different than even the thickest cover we fish up here.

G-ville would be SWEET!!! for me. Flipping and pitching junk sounds great to me, always wanting to do some hard-core flipping kinda stuff. Not to far either.

Guntersville sounds great, I've been trying to get a buddy of mine on the forum and he has been trying to get me to go to G-ville. This will work out for both of us

anything closer to Florida would be great. Takes me 8+ hours to get out of the panhandle area. Really, really, really want to make this one.
