Default What brand Rods do you prefer?

I have three right now I am very fond of...Team Daiwa, Falcon and Pfluger (Trion only). The Trions are like 35 bucks, and make a crankbait rod and a cool spinnerbait rod. Good stuff, and LIGHT. I like the Team Daiwas for worms, senkos and jigs, I have the frog rod and dig it. I have a really light falcon Lowrider I use for ripbaits and 1/4 traps, and a cara that is INSANE for worms. How about you guys?

Lately I've been buying the Gander Mountain rods. I especially like their IM 8 blanks. There prices are reasonable, and they have a life time warrenty.

Airrus rods are just about the best to me. All the things in a rod u want AND a ovwer the counter warranty. With the cost being what they do cost thats GREAT. You break it you bring it in and get a new one. Finally order a Fenwick flipper and cant wait.

Lagunas and G-loomis. Use a Laguna M 6'6" With a Chronarch MG for my bass caster, Two Lightning rods with my spinners cause thats all I can get a hookset with. Two loomis greenwaters with SF curados for inshore reds and trout.

My best bass rods in my arsenal are from Shimano (crucial mh 6'10") and a Lamiglas Competitor rod (med 6'6" 8-20 lb 3/8-1oz) casting rods and a Lamiglas certified pro drop shot special rod (7' rod).

Good to see you around Dodge. I use any brand that I can afford and if I think the rod out of my price range will help refine my lure presentation for a specific type of lure, I will save up until I get it. If you start thinking about certain lure presentations as I do, you will no doubt drive yourself crazy trying to get "the correct rod" for the specific lure presentation. Soon you will accumulate an collection of rods that will rival your wife's shoe collection ?

Gator (St. Croix blanks), St. Croix S-glass, GLoomis, All-Star, Falcon and Shimano......I'm a believer in getting rods for specific techniques. Some people believe that you should only use one brand.

Damn PNJ and I thought I had the market cornered on having just about ANY rod made.LOL

Jolly I see you do custom rods youurself. Nuttin like stickin a hog on YOUR rod cept stickin one on YOUR rod and YOUR lure. Speakin of lures just got through ordering some blank molds for jigs. The last set was so screwed up from me trying to perfect a mold for a jig with a hidden line tie it wouldn't hold lead. Oh well, if thats the only screw up I make I am way ahead of the game.

Also now that the move is over and things are settling down I can get back to tying jigs, building rods and finishing up the Laser.
