GYB Adds New 10" Kut Tail & 12" Curly Tail Worms

Starting in 2006, both top pro tours in the USA realigned their tournament destinations and event timing in order to showcase the nation's premier big bass waters at their best possible peak times for heavy catches on their TV coverage. They skipped many of the former tour stops on waters at times that produced smaller limits. They rewrote the pro tour schedules to take place on the biggest trophy bass waters in the USA at the peak times for big bass tournaments in each location. (Note: Not all trophy bass destinations such as Stick Marsh/Farm 13 in Florida, for example, are suited for TV tournaments.)
The scheduling change had dramatic effects. For instance, it transformed Amistad and Falcon lakes from little-known local hotspots into national fishing vacation Meccas overnight. The schedule changes finally brought big swimbaits out of California and into the limelight on the ends of angler's rods nationwide, and the scheduling shift caused TV pros to embiggen all of the baits they must now use in order to make heavy catches and thereby maintain competitiveness on these trophy fisheries at their peak times. Yes, indeed big bass do prefer big baits, not all the time, but often enough that the new schedule has caused pros to beef up to hard and soft swimbaits, bulkier jig skirts, longer worms, more buxom crankbaits, bigger jerkbaits, giant spoons and all manner of bigger baits formerly not used much on the pro tours. The schedule shift has also caused a reorientation toward deep water angling by the TV pros.
