That's funny Capt Mike!! But they DO catch fish!!!

I caught several fish using green pumpkin with a green pumpkin Swimming Senko as a trailer. I dipped the tail in chartruse spike it. Caught a 6+ lber on it and several others. I don't use it a lot however. Still like my spinnerbaits!

Just two of many caught that day. Wish I still had the picture of the 4" Threadfin shad next to the Shaker with my Shad Skirt . You would see why the fish were all over the bait that day.

Capt - You forgot the Pepsi can plug and the Kitchen sink spoon

The blades are better, the hooks are better, the connection between the jig heads and the blade is better, etc...... I have a few chudderbaits and haven't used them once since trying the vibrashocks.

my problem with the Chatter baits was fish not staying hooked and short strikes. I purchased some Vibrashocks. The quality and workmanship is unmatched and I have caught lots of fish with the vibrashock. My suggestion to you is to order two or three of them in your favorite colors and give them a shot.

For a shad imitator I like Blue shimmer, Black Cherry, Extreme Bluegill, Blue shimmer cottoncandy, and Fogy green.

Hope this helps

thats what I was gonna suggest was a KARU

you can get em at http://www.karulures.com

Ho shi, those are really good looking chatterbaits. I might have to try out a couple. I just wanted to say something here to add to my previous comments about chatterbaits. Where I live it's frozen tundra, but this I think would help anyone who lives where water temps drop below 60 degrees. My best luck with chatterbaits has always been in cold water. Ice out and up to around 65 degrees has been ideal for me. After that I have better luck with spinnerbaits. Why do they work so well in cold water conditions? Well, here is my take. Bass, being cold blooded will have a slower metabolism in cold water. They won't be as agressive as in warmer water. With the chatterbait, you have a lure that will work at a very very slow retrieve speed and YET will have a great amount of action to catch a fishes attention. Add a split tail trailor, and you have a slow moving bait that will swim with a very enticing action that will cause a bass to strike hard, even in cold water. I used to grab a Rattln Rouge as my go to lure for cold water. But the past few years, I have easily caught 5 times as many bass on the chatterbait as the rouge.

keith, i'll have to try that out here whenever it opens up again. Sure is a lot easier on the arm then the rogue is in spring, plus your fishing arm isnt warmed up yet and gets sore easy on the rogue.

i haven't used the full size chatter, but i have used the panfish style chatterbait as a finesse lure for bass and its a close race between it and the shaky head.
