I wouldn't go on a head boat since they don't catch a lot of quality fish compared to a private charter.

private charters arent much for your basic fishing trip..if you are going for marlin or shark or tuna, thats where it costs alot..i went on a private charter here in nj for fluke..he is right they catch quality fish...and i have a question...your dad commutes to australia every few days?

a family friend...he says he only does it for people he knows...me and my dad pretty good..we targeted other fish besides fluke tho...for a guided trip for 2, you can bet it will cost more than $150...you should try the delaware river for smallies...

delaware river for smallies? close enouggh... next week im fishing susquehana river for smallies with a guide i met on another forum. were taking the 3 hour trip. i think its like 70 bucks my dad doesnt want to fish 8 hours. as soon as i get him hooked into fishing he will want to fish all day... i mean we went crabbing next day he wanted to buy crabbing gear... so hopefully the same thing will happen with fishing. aqnd like i said the reason i dont want to do a private trip is because theyre so expensive for just 2 people. i mean if we could fill the boat and everyone chipped in it wouldnt be so bad.
