Default green slime

any hints on keeping that green slime moss that sticks to every thing, form not getting stuck on my lures. I think every time i get that great cast by the time my spiner or worm gets back to the boat ill be picking off slimey moss stuff

do what i do.............pick it off by hand, then throw it again.

Nothing you can do, but to clean em off when your done, and dry em (helps prevent rusting) Use a can of compressed air, just a couple squirts, slime flies off, so does water.

My main hole is a 7 mile long lake with NONE of that. I also Have a local ponds with none but there are plenty more that do.

The green slime or algea is annoying but using lighter weights or no weight helps. BA's topwater idea works too.

The black nasty stuff we find on Chick. lake only grows in really shallow water so we fish a little deeper and if we fish shallow we use very light weight. Also I've learned to twitch baits out of it without catching a lot of it. Then of course you have to pick it off the bait but since I'm pitching most of the time I'm grabbing the lure anyways.

No good way I know of to keep it off...just do like bama said and just pick it off....just part of the "fun"....
