Default snowy weekend!

Listened to the radio this morning, says, we're suppose to get 12" + of snow with weekend, with air temps around -40 and will chill -60 to -75.

Btw, last night I dreamed I was back in Florida FISHING.. cabin fever is really setting in.

Buckle up! It's not even officially "winter" yet.

We're in for 12-24 inches around the Twin Cities (or so they say right now, but it the storm could still change its course) with steady 20-30mph winds, gusting to 40.

P.S. - Not sure what area your radio forecast is for, but it doesn't seem like it's right. The coldest predicted air temp for Ladysmith in the next 5 days is only -6 on Monday night.

High of 80 on Saturday and 85 on Sunday out this way. Looks like I am back to shorts and flip flops for my weekend fishing!

Looks like a lot of wind on Sunday in North Geogia with snow just north of me, flurries here. Our forecast shows 35 Sunday morning and downhill from there, not reaching above freezing until Wednesday, 15 Monday night, 12 on Tuesday night. I know that you guys north of Tennessee are laughing your booties off at us whining about that, but dang it all! That's cold for us!! lol

So far we have about 8"-10" here today (45 minutes south of MPLS), lows forecast at -10 tonight with sustained winds of 25-35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. Wind chills in the -30 to -35 range. Sounds like they have about twice as much snow an hour north of here.

I just drive back home yesterday from nearly a month in Michigan and Ontario. I had nearly forgotten how cold it gets up there but temps in the teens with high winds reminded me quickly. Sammy, I sure hope you have a good furnace AND a warm fireplace with lots of wood.

On a positive note, you should have safe ice soon! If you can find it through all that snow.

It stays a balmy 78-98 in Singapore. I don't think I have to worry about any ice or snow anytime soon around here.

For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here's the video of the Minneappolis Metrodome roof collapsing under all that snow.

Wow Woody, they sure were lucky that this didn't happen when there were people in there. I'm supposed to fly up to Toronto tomorrow, we'll see how that goes.
