i just told you. you make it perfect. you wont get a perfect, symettrical, good action producing bait without a template. if you just sand away blindly, with only a rough image in your mind, it won't come out righ. a little too much here or there, stuff like that. If you aren't like a major luremaker you can't make a bait perfectly feehand.

You can still do it for fun... But if you want it to run nice, its beter this way. you can go on doing it your way, i don't mind. have fun though!
