Swimbaits
I haven't got into the swimbait craze yet, and wondered if any of you use them and which one do you like the most. I fish a lake which has about 8000 acres and most of the time very clear water. I'm looking for one that's about 5 or 6 inches long and weedless. Thanks for any help.

The yum money minnow has been good. A 6/O swimbait hook with a 1/4 ounce of lead on the shank would be a good choice for a 5-inch Money Minnow. I like the screw on hooks.

Weedless is gonna be hard to come by in a swimbait. They are made for open/ clear water.

Money minnow Manns Hardnose Berkley (forgot the name of it) All these can be rigged weedless with a weighted wide gap hook rigged texposed. They come in many lengths and can be fished through the water column or dragged on the bottom through weeds or on beds. My favorite is the money minnow. More colors and better plastic in my opinion. Just exp with weight and hook sizes. Try weightless over grass and as a jerkbait. And dont forget the c-rig with these too.
