My second FAVORITE FISHING ACTIVITY
ROTARY SEASON.
Well they tossed me a slider this year...or so they thought. They classified it, Lions Pond, as 'urban fishing'. Which leads to special regulations. Now I'm ALL FOR urban Fishing! It's a great thing for intercity youth! But there is absolutly no need for one in Rock County Here's the jest of them (regulations) and the ammo they supplied ME. Lions Park Pond and Lapham Peak Pond – year –round season, no length limits, and a special season mid-March through Mid-April for juveniles 15 years of age or younger and certain disabled anglers. There will be a daily bag limit of three trout, one gamefish, and ten panfish. Actually March 8-April 28,2014. reds ammo Urban fishing waters are small lakes and ponds under 25 acres that are intensively and cooperatively managed with a municipality. They are posted with signs, have special regulations, and their shoreline is accessible to the public. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?cat=Lio...&zipcode=53545 WHERES THE HANDICAP ACCESSABLE SHORE LINE FOR FISHING? Rotary gardens!!! To the right you have Lions Beach, Lions Rotary Gardens. They have all to left in Posted no tresspass. POSTED! For the remainder of that pocket. Rest is all steep heavily vegitative HILLS. No real access. No where is it posted Urban Fishing. Not anywhere on the pond. Rotary charges $5 per day to enter gardens. Can't charge for urban fishing! Must have handicap accesable fishing pier. regulation The only pier is at the bottom of EXTREME hill and no railings and too thin to turn a wheelchair around. Local DNR sends me to Parks Dept. Parks sends me to Madison DNR. Madison is our Capital. Madison sends me back to Parks. Parks manager has absolutly no clue what ANY of the Urban fishing regs. are. Local DNR wARDEN SAYS it's my responsibility TO KNOW THE RULES IN THE WATERS I'M FISHING. tRUE STATEMENT. The REGULATIONS FIRST PARAGRAPH SAYS POSTED!Not posted means not urban fishing right? I guess thats a RULE right? Warden says " the recipient can take it to court if they want" Thats in Madison. Crazy power seeking IDIOT. It's insanity!!!!! This baby is stacking up in my favor. Giving ME more than I could even ask for. Burn Rotary along with thier outragous FEES. Open season YEAR ROUND. exception youth season Access to the whole shoreline. regulation with exceptions for beaches See what late ice out does to a CRAZED, BORED, ADDICT!!!! It's 45. I'm going fishing. If 'blue can do it', SO CAN I!

Does this mean you have 5 extra dollars burning a hole in your pocket?
If the gardens have flowers one could pocket 5 dollars worth of bulbs on the way thru. We have a couple of city pay ramps up near the dam in ky and one down here,we just avoid the 5 dollar ramps as plenty of free ones. While their are youth events and sections closed off during them, trout are mostly putntake in local parks and creeks. As for handicap access you are not alone most medial buildings that are not hospitals including dyalasis centers where a great percentage are in wheelchairs are not eq with handicap doors in Tn. Twra lakes are generally but not tva. Last edited by lilmule; 03-30-14 at 09:10 PM. |
