Thats what she said!!
Try larger baits first. What type of conditions are you fishing in? Lake, Pond, rRver? Murky or Clear Water? |

Dont get discouraged Dan,I have been out 9 times so far, same deal,Im catching Bass every trip,But nothing over 3 lbs.I have been using alot of different size lures,Different depths,And I have not produced any large Bass yet.I know they are out there. It may be because our waters here in P.A. are still warming up and the big boys are still a little lethargic,I Believe when the water warms a little more,The bite will get better.I know how ya feel ,Im seeing all my Southern brothers catching huge Bass, but its a different situation here.I say in a couple weeks it will improve drastically. My advise -KEEP CHUCKIN- Good Luck

HMM, maybe you should change your name from bigbassdan to littlebassdan, LOL.
On a serious note, just as outlaw said, the big ones are probably still deep waiting for the water to warm up a little. Give it some time.

where are they at...they are in the water. you cant just expect that if you do one thing that the big ones will bite. if the smaller ones are biting keep doing it maybe one of the big ones will bite too. or you can throw big baits all day and keep your fingers crossed.

I would try to throw a jig they seem to produce atleast a few big ones even on the worst of days with a pretty big trailer....it seems like what you are throwing is more of a beetle spin (based on discription) they are effective in catching different types of fish from bluegill to smaller bass you need something with somemore vibration and bigger to attract the bigger fish and narrow down what will hit it....

Dan, last sunday I saw some pretty big bass crusing just under the surface. They wouldn't touch anything. I will be going again this weekend. I'm in southwest Pa. I'll let you know how I do. Don't get discouraged. The big ones will come.

larger baits tend to draw strikes from larger bass.. the bait you just described sounds some what like a beetle spin,(which i have found is great for white perch), but if you are trying to get large bass to strike your lure i would fish a 1/2 ounce blue and black jig with a blue trailer or a nine inch texas rigged worm. bigger is better..

Pig and Jig, fish it slower, jiggle it, wiggle it, hop it, let the bass tell ya what they want. Think of ambush points where a big bass would sit and wait for a snack to come by.

fish deeper, slower and have patience. try a black and blue jig with a beaver tail as a trailer(same color). if that dosent work fish in the weeds with braided line, same lure and throw into every little tight hole you can find. usually i can pull at least a 4pounder out using this method. good luck guy.

The big ones are in fl, ga, tx, ar, ca, mexico, nc, sc, and other places in that region. Sorry
A ten inch t-rigged worm will usually hook you up with a biggun....
