Bait for Crawfish Traps
What are good baits for crawfish traps? I know I can use fish based catfood, chicken parts and liver, but should you have a different favorite, I'd appreciate your input. Thanks, and good fishing, Mac

Was reading a thread over at tinboats.net about how bacon, even bacon by itself is a good thing to use

Sorry Mr. Rod, but even the lowly crawfish doesn't like the taste of shat.

Perhaps, but you'll attract only the small, stupid one's. Natural selection at it's best.

bacon works for me. Also, be sure to tie it securely to the trap.

I always used bacon and mono to catch them as a kid. Haven't done that in a while. I may have to take my son out and teach him to catch them. That was fun.

I get my wifes old leggings, cut the foot off of them just above ankle, then fill with a hand full of dry dog food and tie it off.
