Default Line for Curado 50

I use mainly 10# P-Line CXX for my bait casters for cranks, small swim jigs, and also my Core. I have 2 small tunned reels that I use 6# line on.
Do you think 8# P-Line would be heavy enough for the above mentioned baits on a Curado 50 the reason being maybe baits run deeper and get a little more casting distance. If it works would also put on Core. Want your opinons before I go to the expense of this change over.

Thanks

I'd not go that light for cranks or anything else using baitcasting equipment. The discernable difference in line diameter between 8# & 10# would not make a real difference in depth or casting distance, at the expense of line strength - which would be noticable. 10# is as light as I go on a baitcaster as I just do not see any advantage in going lighter. Light test I use for finesse presentations on spinning tackle.

I've been using 8# CXX on my finesse casting setup with good results. I tried fluoro at first but didn't like it. I think the light CXX has a good balance of strength and toughness in a thin, light line. The reel is a Sol and the rod is a custom built as a caster on a spinning blank.
