Looks like a Turkey Buzzard. We've got tons of them up here. Good shots too. Birds in flight are hard, even with a DSLR.

Rare in these parts. One of my fav ponds is so full of beavers that even daylight don't slow them down......What if you could get a beaver to mate with abuzzard? How ugly would they be? Ugly bald head Ugly bald flat tail. FUBAR

Way to go stick. Those squirrel shots are getting better!

My 50mm f/1.4 USM (christmas present) came in today. Hopefully going to get it out a bit tomorrow.

I agree with NFE, it is a gorilla, maybe King Kong! The good part is that there isn't the sheer volume of products available as there are in fishing. The bad part is that they are quite a bit more expensive. With that said, I'm off to shop for lenses.

True story....I got the bug to buy a f/1.8 35mm lens for indoor shots a couple weeks ago, but I had to make myself back off of that.
