Default how to fish a golf course pond good

hey guys iv been catching numerous bass on a medium sized pond on a golf course. most of the bass are about 1-3 lbs. i have been catching many bass with soft plastics such as senkos, tubes, dingers, and sweet beavers. Now i am wanting to learn how to catch bass with hard baits such as cranks and jerkbaits. the water is really shallow proally about 3-2 feet at most its clear most of the time and will have some debbre stacked on edges of the pond depeding on what the wind is doing. on another hole i have had some monster bass caught off of jigs and sweetbeavers the water in that lake is a lil deeper im guessing about 3-6 feet deap. its a little murker that the other lake. i just want to know what kind of crank would be good for this shallow of water. i have 2 rapala dt4 or something like that, in baby bass and blue gill color. i have the money to get whatevers good so tell me whats good to use. i have about 2 bills to spend. o and i would also like to know how to fish a spinerbait on these same lakes.
thanks for the advise guys yall are a big help

My question is how do you get to fish a golf corse. Do you sneak in? or did you ask the owner?

So you need to pay entry fee. There is a golf corse near me and I am interested.

naa i never pay. most of the marshalls and stuff dont even bother comeing up to us. i dont know about you but see if theres a street or something u can park at near the lake u want to fish at so that u can just get in there and just start fishing. the worst they could do is just tell u to leave. then some courses like on mondays are closed for maintence so just go on mondays after school or work and just fish all day without a worry.

o theres this other golf course like 45 min away from my house called falcon point. they electro shocked a 17lber out of that lake. that lake has some very very very large bass. at that course they are more fishing than golf lol.

I use to have permission to fish a golf course a while back (it was sold). We use to slay some big bass on black spinnerbaits with copper willowleaf blades. We also caught them on jigs. As far as cranks go... we caught them on firetiger Bombers. The water was stained most of the time there. I mostly fished jigs and spinnerbaits though. Did catch some on 7" red shad power worms. We fished mostly late in the evenings and at night and caught them on black buzzbaits then (summer). I need to talk to a friend of mine who knows the new owner and see if I can get back in there again. I've seen bass in there that would go 10lbs. easy! Golf course ponds rock!

Default Nice shallow water bait to try anytime

As a semi serious basser, I wouldn't go to any pond without a Mann's Baby Minus One. Found at just about anyplace, ie. walmart, academy, ganders, this bait should be in anyone's arsenal that fishes shallow waters.
Good Luck

i agree, a mann's Baby 1-, when you cant get them to hit a topwater, the baby 1 always pulls it off...
as far as golf course ponds go, my dads cousin owns a golf course with a 4 acre pond on in, and we have fished it many a evening and morning, and our biggest fish is caugt by my dad...a 6.8 lber... my bigest is a 5.5 lber. Am going to start fishing it next month again when the course opens back up. Thanks

Ryan
