Try some complex carbohydrates(any whole wheat food) They take longer to digest, make you feel more full, and are healthier than white breads and things like that. They make just about everything in whole wheat now crackers, pretzels, breads, and buns.

Eat straight peanut butter. Powercleaning is grabbing a weight, pulling it up to your chest, and flipping it. Hard to explain. Ask somebody who lifts to show you how to clean and jerk, and just don't do the jerk.

i tell u what im a 16 year old 220 football player at harlan high school and i bench around 225 and i dont squat much since i tore my acl this last season but the point is theres a trick first u maxs out which is going till u cant go anymore then recording the last weight. then u do all the lifts u think nessisary for u then u divided it by somthing but i forgot but ill find it out for u. it works so great i gained close to 30 pounds in bench press weight in one summer.

How old are you again CrankyBait? I wouldn't recommend heavy weight training until 14-15 years of age.

as a long time bass fisherman i can say this with out a dout squats will help you out quite a bit. also the one thing i do not see mentioned is to develop strong hands and wrist using both free curl weights or a spring hand strenther. i could bench 325 when i was in shape and playing football. in a recent incedent i tore 2 tendions and 1 muscle in my wrist. leaving me with 0 hand strenth i could not pick up a 1 pound free weight-don't laugh i am dead serious-there was no way i could even pick up let alone use a squeezer hand spring.. after about a week the pain-which was intense- laid off and i could put about 5 reps on the hand spring with out causing to much pain. right now i am up to 60 reps at a time and reping a 5 pound free weight about 20 times.before the pain accures..

trap is right averaging 2500 cals a day aint enough if you are into working out 32-3500 cals a day are the start. pasta, pizza, peanutbutter, protien bars/power bars..
selminalla is from raw chicken not raw eggs..

Sounds to me like we got a few folks in here that know or have a understanding of mmuscle etc etc.. Here's one for ya. Back in 2991 I blew a disc in my neck which resulted in irreversiblwe damga to the ulnear nerve in my left arm. My 11 year old son can take my left arm and keep from doing anything. Its that weak. I work as a millwright so I use my arms on a daily basis and at times I have to lift and or use something very heavy. So I ask is there anyway of regaining the muscle in this arm. The doc's have told me no but I am more stubborn than a missouri mule. I really need to get the strength back cause it's a pain in the arse trying to fish with a bum arm. Thats the reason that I have to use the long handle rods.

Crankie- The school record is 8? Do y'all do anything in Jersey? Out of your whole school, nobody has enough upper body strength to do 9 pull ups?
I'm about with fishie, although once I hit 22. What about dips? Anybody do dips? During football season, I got 27 to place second the team "Dip-off". Winner got 34.
