Default Do you use the fishing seats?

you know the ones on the front and rear decks. I personally hate them, but I know they come in handy when it is windy. However, i feel casting sitting down ruins my accuracy and running the TM when sitting down is uncomfortable.

butt seats.... get an adjustable pole also weather hydrolic or manual. they make a massive differance. butt seats are NOT cheap i think mine was $125 bucks-it's a stratos-with the 5 hole position tilter head. the hydrolic pole i got is like $60 at bass pro high but worth every penny..

yeah i like the butt seats but i will use the regular seats too, its really easy to use the trolling motor with them too. The coach for our fishing club let me troll his triton around while fishing.

If I'm just pleasure fishing, the seats are great. If I'm tourney fishing, I will usually stand up. I reccommend you keep at least a butt seat on the boat, they are nice to take a break once in awhile, after fishing all day you need a break.

[B] I would rather stand at all times, I feel more in control. I know for a fact that i get better hook sets.

Butt seat. Really comes in handy during a rodeo ride.

If the wind gets up, or the skiers are around,or another boat goes by, you need at least a butt seat. You can grab on to it and prevent falling in.
Never been there or done that, but almost did !

If the water is calm Ill stand. My TM is mounted so Im comfortable either way. If in a tourney, I usually stand as much as possible. Fishing canals w/ overhangs I sit, gives me a lower profile to cast way up under the branches. If standing and rough, just use the pole, after some good hard waves you seem to be stuck to it right where it should be.

LMAO!!!!!!! @ REBBASSER

ZOOK

Do you prefer the tilt type over the standard type butt seat. Always used the standard type but been thinking bout getting one of the adjustable type(adjustable being the seat and not the pole) With my back problems I have to sit or lean at times so I dont remove the pole alot of the times. Was wondering bout the tilting type. Give me your thoughts there buddy.

Mines hydrolic. I adjust it based on weather I'm standing, sitting, or just tired. When tired, mine is all the way down !
