Not bad,if one looks for sporting goods stores etc going out of business can find that or cheaper year round.
More like 90
120
140
180 same models the higher the model the more the markup
personally 120 markup on a 289 dollar reel is a bit to much, they should make money but not retire off a few sales
Think about it if cost is 160 retail at 20-21 percent markup would be under 200 not 289.
I also pay under 100 bucks for carrot stix and or kistlers the argon recently went for 85 new,So a used one some guy paid well over 200 for is now worth maybe 50 bucks.
If I had to buy another boat which I need like a hole in the head as have two here, tuff times lots of dealers going out of business buy at cost or less, mfg is the one that gives the warranty.Apply or take off about a 30 percent markup off your 53 k new boat, they cost the dealer about 36.
Nothing wrong with making money that is what its all about, also nothing wrong with shopping around makes them competitive, that is a competitive price for a company staying in business. Also possible they get a company incentive as the reels are being given a rebate to them.So they arnt losing a thing.Think that is supposed to last all month with all dealers.Who some just dont pass it on.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought 2 premiers a couple years back during a similar sale ($130 or so). When you can get a deal like this, premium tackle is easily worth it.

It's a good thing I don't need another reel, or one of those premiers would be pretty tempting...
