My favorite car was my 1969 chevelle. It wasn't an SS, but it had a stock 350 which I souped up a bit w/ Hooker Headers, Edelbrock intake, Harley double pumper, some fat 50's, air shocks and a beefy transmission I robbed from a cargo van. I owned it when the new 5.0 mustangs were coming out and I loved smoking them at the red light.

My other favorite was a 1963 Chrysler 300 Convertible. That thing turned heads everywhere I went (there were only 1800 of them made). It was the pace car for the Indy 500 that year. It had a stout 413. I miss that car too.

First car for me was in 1971, we went up to my uncles in detroit and he had a 69 mach1 waiting for me to buy, he got a huge discount being a engineer
for Ford and sold it to me for 1100 bucks

First boat was given to me from a new brother in law that just had a divorce
and it was a 1968 sear V hull with a 9 horse Johnson kinda like this drawling

Cool Csparks. You sound set. Its a great advantage to start off in a small boat, it makes you learn the fundamentals. So many guys who start out in the big boats with unlimited funds are soft. Are you gonna pull that little boat with the trans am?

1st car was a pink 1961 Rambler Classic....Imagine driving to high school in a pink Rambler? Brush painted it black real quick.
1st boat was a shallow V 14ft Duranautic aluminum.

We just got my car back froma friend who was helping do some of the work that would take us a long time. Aligning fenders, doors, quarters, trunk lid, etc. I got a couple pics and though I'd share.

It'll look good when it's done.

1973 White Ford Maverick with a Brown vinyl roof. Had cut-pile carpet and reclining bucket seats. Came in real handy at the Drive Inn - LOL - remember those?

I'd really like to get a truck. I'd really like one of those new 2009 Hybrid Silverados, but I don't have an extra 50,000 layin' around. I'd settle for something that gets decent gas mileage (for a truck), which will probably be a colorado.

Man that car looks great already.

You can get trucks pretty cheap still. I saw a Ram in good shape for 2k a couple months ago, 4x4, tow package and winch - 98 or 99 model. The more gas goes down, the more truck prices will return to normal.
