first off i don't like yum lure sprays they tend to stain the bait a differant color.turn a pretty white fluke purple. i use fish formul and lunker sauce my self use crawfish in early spring may/june switch to garlic. and i use shad any time.

spike markers tend to dry out i get the spike it dye in the can. please note do not dye baits any place you do NOT want this stuff on, once dyed it don't come out even with spikeit's remover.try explaining why there is a bright yellow spot in you mom's new white carpet some time.-did not know that she knew that many cuss words..

i have been using smelly lelly and it dosent seem to harm the baits What I cant figure out is it really worth using a scent at all I forget to use it a lot because I start catching fish without it and when things slow down i use it. I dont know if they realy work as attractants or just cover up my smelly hands

In my eyes you don't need the smelly crap....unless you just can't manage to land within 10 feet of a fish. I make the majority of my own lures and recently have been putting nail polish on them..helps em float longer..now this stuff is god awful smelly and everyone within 30 feet of me knows when I open my box. I still catch fish. I'm pretty sure nail polish is not a natural smell......I think it is all in the action and placement of the lure. When I was younger I was all about these scent sprays....as I look back they really didn't help my quota out. I'd spend my 5 bucks on a black or chartreuse crank bait.

How many cranks do I need?? I usually only fish rat-l-traps and Manns Baby 1-. I have 4 Manns' and 4 Traps. Majority of my timem is using soft plastics or top water latley

Depends on what kind of water your fishing...get something dark, something light, something deep divin, something shallow....if you have the money cover the spectrum of fishing conditions YOU normally run into. People say dark in dark water and light in light water...other people say light in dark water and dark in light water....Personally, I don't know....and this is why I love chartreuse...seems to work everywhere equally....I only say black crank bait because I witnessed my buddy haul in a 10 lb the other week on one in clear water......only reason my ego has me braggin about HIS fish is because I told him where to cast...heheh...wish we had a camera for that one.

Ah and size is something else to take into consideration....big fish like big meals....usually....fishing is never truely a sure thing. Unfortunately you have to find out what works for you....we can give you advice all day long and you could still come back empty handed.

No, That was a rhetorical question. I dont feel I need anymore cranks. I will buy Floaters such as a Rapala Orginal, because I classify them topwater

It defintiely works, I sprayed it on my popr's feathers and as soon as it hit the water one blew up on it. I could not buy a strike on the popr without it.

PB if one blew up on it when it hit the water , you threw on top of it.

I use the YUM garlic myself. It does stain like Zooker said.

Yah, IL. it does stain, but I figured out a way to minimize that, hold the lure out farthers, so just a mist will hit it. This has worked for me.
