BassFishin.com is the best !!!! . I have also read those 2 pieces of Bass Times and Bass Masters for I am a subscriber and like the publications alot . I honestly did'nt even catch on to the contradiction til I read your blog . I too love the top water bite . There is nothing better in my opinion . I'm no pro or even as experienced as you are . My only guess would be that Dean and Fred are trying to say only on BLOW UPS you set the hook instantly . Not under water strikes . If the Bass inhales that frog under water you wait a while but it it comes viciously to the top then you set the hook right away . Some times those SPRO Bronzeyed frogs would actually swim submerged for a bit and Bass may srike then also . That's just a guess because I to would like closer on this topic .
